I can sit here and willingly pop my shoulder in and out of it's joint......or in other words.....dislocate it wilingly.......with no pain at all. Is this possible? And is this going to lead to arthritis when i get older? I'm 15, and i play alot of sports. So i need a good strong shoulder. Could there be a more serious problem with my shoulder? Or could this just be natural and nothing to worry about? Overall the shoulder's a little bit sore.......but not necessarily when i dislocate it.....just when i'm moving it around or at rest.

This is what has been called double jointed. Your ligaments stretch and allow the head of the humerus to pop out. In the hands it is no problem, but in the shoulder I am not so sure. I suggest a consult with an orthopedic surgeon before serious trouble develops.

sounds like weak tendons or rotator cuff. i have a similar problem but with quite a bit of pain when my arm comes out of socket.
i'd get it checked out by the doctor before you really do some damage.

TAKE CARE OF IT NOW OR IT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU LATER.

Get to a doctor and check it out. Even if he does nothing but advise you on how to keep it functional for a life-time, it is better than asking on Y!A.

Good luck

You are only gimnastic...don't worry about arthritis...but don't too that too much times or your shoulder may get some troubles(I don't know what kind of trobules but...).
Ask you doctor for more informations!
