Today they are fashionable..if I were a young woman I'd get one..but I'm in my 60's and I don't think it would be so COOL...I wonder if the young people think about what they will look like at my age? Will their flower that stands up now ..will it look like a week all dried up? LOL... Back in the 1950's we were so different....so covered up....like on the tv show "Ozzie and Harriett....LOL...but if I wanted one...I'd get a butterfly....they are so light and beautiful...and would look good on just about any part...of the body...PS...mummies have been discovered with tattoos...and lots of them....so it is not a new fashion statement...

The same reason you wear the clothes you wear, have your hair cut the way you do, listen to the bands you like and read what tickles your fancy.

Same reason that men do...it's to decorate your body. I have several tattoos and each represents something to me and is meant to highlight areas of my body.

for many reasons. it could be to decorate thier body, to express theirself, to sybolize something or a loved one. i am sure there are many other reasons. personally, i dont want any tattoos.
