I have found this saying to be true, and time has told me that the person i couldn't live with out was actually pretty easy to love without. Love isn't supposed to hurt.

This is true in context. Depending on your situation it may mean different things. This could mean that allow the relationship to still continue but with some distance and space. In other situations, it may mean letting go completely. This saying goes hand in hand with if you don't let it go, they or you will not know what is missed. You have to let go in order to miss. In many situations this brings two closer together and in some people discover that life must go on. All in all, the only fight you should have is the fight to keep the communication lines open. This will either build a greater friendship or a more intimate relationship.

Yes the saying is right. It goes: If you love something let it go, I comes back to you it's yours, it doesn't it never was. But you should still fight for it!

You fight for the one you want till the end. I did this when i have seperation from my spouse. The more you let them know that you love and miss them the faster they come back. The relationship is better the 2nd time around!

In case you haven't figured it out, you can't make anyone do anything they do not want to do. The saying that you quoted is meaningless. If you wish someone to love you, you must be loving in the first place, and prove to that person you are worth of his/her attentions. And, as my mama always said, "if you don't have something nice to say, do ever say it at all".

you should fight for your relationship - especially if you are married and if it's worth fighting for! I think that old saying just applies to childhood crushes...

Of course you should fight for them .......it also means trying to make it work and getting rid of the "devil" who is trying to destroy your marriage. It's called self preservation.
