I can relate but I can also tell you, misery loves company... It isn't where you live, but how you live that is the problem.
I've lived in Europe and it's not what you see in the movies or what you've experienced in traveling. It's a wonderful experience and if you really think you whole family would benefit, then go courtesy of the federal government. www.usajobs.gov have openings posted, you can pick anywhere in the world.
As for the corporate job, any chance you can move your position to another location within the corporation. Wherever you go, make sure the schools are top-notch.
