If he feels he wasn't at his best and could make it the next time, he should try. Otherwise he isn't meant for the job.

depends on the test. If it is personality or honesty or those types of things being looked at, or if it is knowledge of the job.

Employers can and do use a variety of different types of tests.

that is so totally dependent on what the job is,
because some jobs require specific skills,
where other jobs can be mastered with basic common mechanical sense

Probably ought to give up on that job. No one wants a job they cannot do. Too stressful.

there are certain skills required to do certain jobs...they test to see if people have these skills...i.e. the police!
