at the top of your browser, click View, Toolbars, and check that Standard Buttons has a check mark in front of it.

go to view, toolbars, customize. from here you can add/remove specific buttons. the back and forward arrows are most likely on the left hand side, and since you want them to be displayed you need to move them to the right. question: how did this happen to you? another computer user at your house, or spyware. if its spywarte it'll happen again until you clean up your infected pc.

You can probably see a small double headed arrow pointing right just to the left of the address box and a verticle line.. click on this and drag right.
