Any personal letter should be addressed to the Lady only.. It should state your desire for them to come and visit you and how much you look forward to seeing them. You must make them feel important. Explain briefly some of the places you would like to show them when they arrive. this gives the impression you want to spend time with them. Ask them what likes and dislikes they have and accomodate accordingly.

Generally you would write two letters - one addressed to the individual and another one to the representatives of your country's embassy/consulate where s/he is applying for a visitor's visa. These are not the same letter, the first one is a friendly invite between friends, the latter an official letter to your government. These letters are normally required if you are responsible for providing the person housing, etc while they are in the country, thus you should provide your home address, work address and other identification your country would normally require from you, stating that you will take responsibility for housing, food, etc for the individual while they are in your country. Include the length of time the person will be in the country and in your city or town.

Having been in your friend's position a few times (having to apply for visas) I normally enclose my own letter as well to the embassy detailing my plans while in the country as far as possible.

And please spell check your letters! Bad spelling makes an immediate bad and lasting impression on the reader. Every computer programme has spell check, even these pages. Use it!

If you are writing a letter to an individual then address it to them personally.

Try, " To whom this may concern" as an introduction to the letter.

Just write it a bit better than your question.
