I can do it pretty easily. I'm American and grew up speaking only English, but I always was interested in hearing other languages and/or other accents, and like to imitate them. :) This came in handy in high school when I studied Spanish, because there are some words in that language in which the R's are rolled. (My teacher gave better grades if we made an attempt to speak with a Spanish "accent".) I always found the R sound a simple one to make, but some of my friends just never got it.
You can also hear rolled R's spoken by people with a Scottish accent, which happens to be my FAVE accent! And I can do that one too. ;D Not that I'd do it if I went to Scotland, of course, because I'm sure everyone would find it pathetic! *blush* And I wouldn't want to fool them anyway.

No, I have never been able to do that. I took Spanish for 2 years and you need to be able to do that to pronounce certain Spanish words and I couldn't do it no matter how hard the teacher tried to get me too. She said that some people can just do it and some others have to be taught and it takes time.

No!! it's so sad. i can't do it, but my friend spent like all last year trying and she can finally do it. although it drove us crazy for a while there.

no i cant it really annoyes me, i have to roll my rrrrs in spanish but i cant so i always get bad grades in spanish
