You can tow without a dolly or trailer
4 wheels on the ground
manual transmission:
FORD :Ranger
Escape
(also Focus, but thats a car & F250 &F350, but those are Big)

If you prefer Automatic Transmission:
You can also get a "neutral tow kit" installed by your Ford dealer and pull :
