For this school year, I am in one room for some classes and another room for some classes. I have always had my own room, so I worried that this will hurt my organization and classroom management. Can anyone give me some tips and hints to help??

Will you have a desk in each room? If so, keep 2 lesson plan books, 1 for each room. Keep all the supplies you will need to teach that class in each room, even if it means duplicating textbooks...then all you have to do is walk into the room and you're ready.
If this doesn't work, get an AV cart. Keep one shelf for the things you'll need in 1 room, and the second shelf for the other class.
Store your cart in the first class you'll have for the day.
Good luck! Been there, done that~

I've found classroom management to boil down to a few things.

1. Be absolutely and completely prepared for every minute of class.

2. Know your own subject.

3. Stay very calm, but good natured.

4. Reward good behavior

5. Be very willing to call parents, and to bring them in for meetings if necessary.

If your students respect you, they'll behave no matter what classroom you're in, so I'm sure you'll do fine.

Get incredibly organized with portable file folders so that you can spread things out on the desk in just a few seconds and have it feel like yours. It's a drag not to be able to do all your bulletin boards and posters your own way, but the system on your desk is the key. You will probably also want overheads or PowerPoint slides to play a larger visual role since you'll have fewer permanent displays at your disposal.

be well-prepared...I don't know if you share the room with other teachers....but some how have separated which books...etc. go with which room you'll be in. If possible have things pre-written on the board so it is one less thing you have to worry about when switching around. Make sure to have some kind of briefcase or tote bag that you can take back and forth that contains stuff you will need for both classes

If I were you I would just make another set of whatever classroom management stuff you have for the other classroom. Are you going to share the classroom as well? If you are just let the teacher know in there that its your management system. Whatever worked for you before should work for you in a different classroom...you just have to prep for it again.

You will need a cart. On it you will want classroom supplies, such as extra paper, markers, pens, dictionary, ect. You will need to make it a psudo desk. As long as you don't appear frustrated by not having a classroom, the students will be fine.
A binder with student info is a must as well to have on the cart.

I have seen the AV cart idea work extremely well. The French teacher at our school was in a different classroom every period and she used a cart and it worked very well.
