Yes, the water is still the same it's just the temperature that's different. Don't just dump him in there, bag him and float it in the tropical tank so he slowly gets up to temperature. You don't want to shock him.

YES, I have suckerfish with tropical fish also, all the suckerfish do is clean the tank for you. I was all they are really helpful.

yes it is. My sucker fish is HUGE. I have a 30 gallon troical tank and my suker fish was maybe 2-3 inches when I got him. He is about a foot long now! He likes to be petted and fed by hand. Yeah it's wierd but hey they are my pets :)
