He was born there on May 4, 1949. He grew up there and went to bell gardens high where he was the quaterback for the football team.

Yes. a funny story my uncle ( a HUGE John Force fan ) was going through his year book for I think Pomona High ( but I'm not positive) and he was looking through the football team pictures and my uncle goes that looks like John Force and they read across to see the name and it was John Force.
