The Democrats, ALL of them I've heard speak, are saying that they will NOT force impeachment proceedings against GW Bush. To me, that makes them TRAITORS too.

Bush is a gangster war criminal draining our treasury and destroying human rights along with our reputation.

Anyone not willing to impeach him is aiding and abetting his crimes, is a traitor, yes.

Just be patient until the democrats once again have a majority in November. It's less than three months away. I think we're going to see a lot of changes, but they should have happened much, much sooner. Especially after hearing all this MonicaGate Garbage for this long. If that union had born fruit, the kid would've been old enough to vote in a few more years. It was stale then, so I don't know what you'd call it now, especially in light of the lies under oath, the crimes against the citizens of the US and its Constitution, Bill of RIghts, Civil Rights, and Geneva Convention, along with all the High Treasons of this so-called "administration"

I agree that democrats are traitors to their own principles and beliefs, and that they do not truly represent the people that vote them in. That's why I'm a member of the Green Party and advocate voting for any third party except the communists or aryan nations-type groups. I'd even be happy to vote for a socialist. Canada, Australia, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway are all more-or-less openly socialist countries, and they have more freedom than what we've had, especially for the last six years. But then, that could be said about many, many countries these days, even some that aren't so big on so-called "democracy." We used to be the world's Beacon of Freedom. Now all we have is George Bush holding up a Bic lighter for a handful of billionaires.

Still, I want Bush and his party out of there regardless of personal politics. I belong to the "Anybody But Bush" Party. I'm realistic enough to know that this means I will have to compromise my beliefs and integrity by voting for democrats, but that will be, by far, the lesser of two evils.

If the Bush Administration was a cancer patient, Dr. Kevorkian would have pulled the plug on Jan. 21, 2001. This cancer needs to be removed and cured for all time. No more temporary remissions. Go for all or nothing, fight it agressively, and do whatever you can to impeach that biggest tumor ever at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Will I vote for someone who doesn't promise to impeach Bush? By the time there's a chance to vote for a new president, it'll be a little late to impeach him, don't you think? Impeachment only happens to a current public official, not that guy who used to be in office.

According to Wikipedia (world's best website), impeachment is "the first of two stages in a specific process for a legislative body to remove a government official without that official's agreement." This is why Clinton was impeached and not removed. An impeachment is only a legal, official statement of charges against the official. Whether the official is convicted or not comes later. And here's the big thing: Bush will no longer be a public official when the new president takes office. There will be no reason to remove him from office.

Maybe you mean criminal charges of a more general kind? People could probably throw something together with violations of the American Constitution and the Geneva convention, but again, our president hasn't done anything strictly illegal. If something he has done is found by the Supreme Court (which, by the way, is more conservative than liberal right now) to have violated the constitution, he can't be retroactively punnished. There's a clause in the Constitution preventing that, and it's an important one. And the Geneva Convention is an agreement, not US law. We can't press charges according to it. That's something the UN would have to worry about.

The Democrats you've spoken to probably think it's more important to find a good new president than to punnish an old bad one. And that's good. Maybe if the Democrats were able to unite a little more closely they'd be able to start regaining power in Washington.

I find it rather amusing that awhile back all the talking heads where spouting that if you vote for Democrats, they'll impeach Bush. This went on for about 2 weeks then nothing. It seems that from an internal poll most Republicans favored impeachment proceedings for Bush. That shut the talking heads up

It does not make sense to vote for someone who is a one trick pony. If someone goes around making their main campaign highlight impeaching the president, I don't think that they have the vision to go into office and do anything else or to create positive change. If one does not like the president, there are far better ways to fight him. An impeachment scenario only creates division, gridlock, and makes the person who is being impeached a martyr to his followers.

I didn't know the liberals were trying to hijack the Independent party also. Regardless, idiots like yourself and your childish rants are why Bush won the last 2 elections...

Democrats will be losing in November again since they are the party without a plan for national security...

wonderful how this grew from being a controversy happening in Vermont to unexpectedly being the completed u . s . in basically a rely of hours. The propaganda bandwagon rolls on, very similar to the in no way ending, info lacking, in no way going to take place demands impeachment greater often than not. call for impeachment all you like, besides the undeniable fact that it relatively is basically ineffective rhetoric till somebody surely gives you authentic verifiable info that any crime has been committed. besides the undeniable fact that, if having a pipe dream makes you experience greater useful, greater ability to you.

Why would they impeach bush? Impeachment hearings would take almost a year to set up, then the actual hearing will drag on and he is almost out as president by then anyway.

Why are we impeaching Bush? Everyone calls for an impeachment of Bush, but doesn't back it up with a reason. Besides, If we do impeach him for some reason, he does not have to leave office. Clinton was impeached and served his entire term. Look, if you are unhappy with the selection of Bush as a president, vote for someone better next time.

What makes you think Bush is impeachable. Clinton slipped out of the hearings unscathed. And he actually had oral sex in the white house. (legally not a sexual relation) a important aspect of the law. Wonder what old Judge made that up. "No that's not sex it just a BJ"

Bush has done nothing but what the RNC via Karl Rove has told him to do. He is a good man look into his soul.

Precisely, The NEOCONS believe anyone with a conscience and can see through their great leader is a Democrats. Many, Many of us are independent minded people who know a traitor, irregardless of political affiliations, when we see one. So far not one Conservative has been able to show me how their GREAT LEADER as President of the world's greatest nation has enhanced our position, globally or at home. Bush without exception is the worst President we have ever had to endure.

EDIT: DBK, for the deaths of 2500 of our soldiers for one. I have lost a good friend to his folly.
