I want to creat make a country and crown myself king. Is that possible? Can i buy off a fairly large island from some poor pacific country and make it my kingdome?

If you can afford a country and a crown good luck, but trying to find people who will follow you might be a little bit tougher. Unless your family and your friends are your kingdom, but still.

You are subjected to the laws of any country however, unless you find an undiscovered island yet not on the world map :o.
But you could FEEL like a king owning an island- you could always make a paper crown and declare yourself king he he.

I would say no, because the richest man in the world couldn't get by with that even, you'd have too much interference from big countries such as the US or UK for building a dictatorship.
Notice I said, "riches man in the world", you'd have to have tons of money to start with. I mean the richest man in the world, Bill Gates has at least 50 Billion dollars.

They wouldn't put up with mass murder these days. To be King you would need to invade a Island, subject the people to murder and mayhem, drive them into servitude, terrorize them so that they worshiped you and said that you were God incarnate and get the UN to recognize you. Good luck.
