I read the comments here from some obviously academically challenged and uninformed Americans and Brits. They think that the world owes them a living and the recipients of their guile, abuse and violence should just acquiesce to their arrogance and stupidity and just be quiet.

I'm not arrogant, I'm just better than you are. And you don't have an inferiority complex, you are inferior.

As a self proclaimed "humanist" I find it disturbing that you so willingly lump all Americans and Britons into the arrogant/ignorant file. Truly sir, with a blanket statement like that I am not sure YOU should call anybody ignorant!

As I read Yahoo! Answers I find that ignorance is a universal problem! And if we lack compassion the way you say why is it that us so called imbecile Americans are the first to take care of all the other countries that need our assistance? And when we need some help in return were are all the other countries we have helped?

I expect more from a man that claims he is a humanist. Your comments have done nothing but make me think that perhaps you are speaking of yourself in some Freudian type manner.

And PS, not all parents...American or Briton or whoever....beat their children. Try education sir, it helps when you are painfully lacking the knowledge needed to make such a sweeping and insulting blanket statement.

If the world owes us a living then why are we paying so much money in foreign aid? Lack of compassion? Both of our countries are under siege by millions steaming across our borders illegally. They are coming IN, not going out. So there is something to be said for that. You have a problem sir, and I don't believe you will get your answer in this forum. You've made your little opinion known, goody for you. Now go away.

When you call people imbeciles or describe their countries in any other degrading way, they will inevitably defend themselves. This goes for anyone. So of course an American will come off as arrogant because you are saying that Americans are imbeciles, so that person would counter that by saying how great their country is.

traits of uneducated imbeciles in USA and UK?
well yeah, actually those are the traits of uneducated imbeciles all over the world, could it be western or arab world, whatever!
we all have to suffer coz of an ignorant minority here or there, but sadly this minority has a major impact on world's state of "non-peace" and war against terrorism!
I'm a muslim egyptian girl though and I've been twice to UK and US and there are very friendly and compassionate ppl that i've met... ignorant arrogant ppl are just a minority that need to be devastated! those are the terrorists we need to be lookin for!

I can understand how you feel but where is your compassion for them?
If you are more educated and intelligent you should understand that insulting them does no good.
You are a victim yourself of the things you are exposing.
You're no better than your enemy but it's easy to hate what you just can't be.

yuppers. you're right. the lack of compassion comes from the huge number of parents in america who use physical violence to 'discipline' their children.
