Today is National Left-Handedness Day.
So, my fellow south-paws, it's time we raise a toast to our own uniqueness.

Wow, we have our own day now! I wonder if by being left handed I could get my capochino served in a left handed mug today. Ah, the severer will just turn the handle to the left, I should go for a freebie; or perhaps a left handed day discount; enough to cover the tip. I'm going to have to work this a bit I think. Hey, maybe if all the right handed folk thought ( through some skillful marketing of course ) it was lucky to buy a left handed person a capochino; we could better bring this into the national consciousness. Now I know not all of the lefties would want a capochino and I understand that. That is why I'd be willing to take them off their hands, I'm here to help after all. Oh, and maybe some of those nice little Dominican cigars; the vanilla ones. I know not everyone in the legions of lefties are going to want them either. I will again step up to the plate and anyone who doesn't want theirs can send me those as well; I can't bear to see my fellow sinister pawed pals forced to accept these gifts that they don't want. I wonder if we could get a car out of this if we hyped the day up enough. Wow, capochinos; cigars; and a car! Every 13th of August! I'm really warming up to this left handed day.

I got a kick out of discovering that 10-12% of pacific gray whales are "left-handed." That percentage of individuals scrape the bottom with their left side to stir up food, the rest use the right.

If you watch t.v. and movies most of the actors are lefties.
