I am very hurt and confused by her choice to end our friendship to start a relationship with him, when she knew first hand how much he cheated on me and was just awful to me, and left me and my son, with no child support, nothing...for a bimbo he met at a bar. My ex and I had been together for 27 years also.

Find a better friend. I don't know why she would want him after she seen him treat you so bad. I think she is awful and will regret it.

Mr penitentary, c'mon...don 't let it make you souless. This is a big problem here, justified sadness. (Unlike if someone stiffs you in cigarettes..)
Ms ex, you need to put your chin up and realize you are not the villain here and you don't need to be the victim either. Your divorce is a fresh start for you from what seemed like a loser, and you need to reinvent yourself into the person you are meant to be.
Surround yourself with good people, start visiting churches and when one feels "like home", keep going. Forgiveness is key, YOU need it to do it for YOU. Don't meet up with friends and family to cry and mope but determine to help others who are less fortunate. Remember, your behaviour and choices will affect your child. Eventually your pain will subside and only be a memory by which you can guide others to make healthy decisions in traumatic times.

Dear X this person is obviously not your friend and more than likely one of those bimbos. Let her learn first hand what a slug this guy is in the end you will have greater satisfaction seeing her get the same treatment.

Your former best friend will get her just desserts. She was probably never your true friend. Don't stress yourself out over trash you know he will treat her as bad if not worse than he treated you. She will come begging for your friendship again be the bigger person and ignore her. She will regret the day she ever gave up a friendship for a louse.

Very sad if you ask me. She must know everything about this guy through your eyes. That is just plain gross she is having sloppy seconds. She was suppose to be your friend and friends to not go for the friends ex husband. Move on she will learn the hard way she is not your friend, friends do not do go for other friends ex's

Dear Michele, Tough break. First, you know your friend is no longer your friend. He will do the same to her. 2nd, plug into the " system " for financial help for you and your child. Also, re- invent your realities and get a plan for your future. Go back to school.; court reporting is a very good future. Claudia

so much to be said... so many view points to be seen.. so many details left out... over all a friend shouldn't do that... I don't think i would consider her my friend. That does hurt... maybe build up to a new friend ship but that takes a lot and i mean a lot of work!
There are just some things you don't do to your friends... Hurting them is one of them!
Move on sweetie as hard as it maybe sometimes just move on... both "Friends" need to move one! unless you think they can be friends and forgive and forget... possiable ... good luck

You must ask yourself if she did so to hurt you. I would hope not. And it won't do for you to remind her how badly he treated you and your son. Maybe she just wants to play him for herself and have a bit of fun.

No matter what the reason, surely she knows the rift it will put between the two of you.

Jeepers - you are the hostess of a pity party. First your mother-in-law, now your best friend. POOR YOU.

My goodness, the WHOLE WORLD is against you.

Lucky me, I don't have to come home to you. Are you medicated yet??

I feel for you. That is no friend. She obviously didn't care enough about you to stop and think. I could never do that to a friend.
