Right, seriousness now. Lately, I find that with the crowd I hang out with there are only a few that are actually 'girly'. In general a lot seem to be in the middle some where. But there are quite a few i see around acting more like blokes than chicks. By blokes, i mean, being a bit laddy, getting drunk on beer, having fights in the street, hanging out like gangs, going pulling together, acting masculine in general... Now I'm not saying that this is totally a bad thing, but I can't see myself getting with a 'dude with boobs'. What does everyone else think? Is it a good or a bad thing?
(Not helping if you put, 'each to their own' answers.)

I dont see the problem with an each to their own answer - surely there is no "should" about how girls should act. Is it really any more attractive for men to get p***ed and fight in the streets?? Who'd really want to be with a bloke like that either?
I don't think girls should feel they have to prance around in stilettos stroking kittens and giggling with a white wine spritzer, if they didnt go out drinking you'd be moaning that there was nothing to look at, but nor do I think there's any harm in them being well mannered, just as there is nothing wrong with a well mannered man who can hold his beer and doesnt need to prove his masculinity by throwing punches.

I'm what would be described as a mans girl as in I get on better with men than I do women, however I don't tend to behave in a masculine way.I do drink but not excessively,I think a pint glass in a womans hand just doesn't look right,I don't go out on the pull with other girls, don't think I've ever been "on the pull" it just kind of happens.I would never fight in public.I think that I get more respect from the men around me because I act like a girl,I don't have a problem with admitting that there are certain things that a man might be better at doing than me but girls that fake acting like girls and are all "I'll break a nail,"and stuff like that now they are just doing a dis service to all womankind.

personally i think girls are girls, it said on BBC website last year that the last 20 years all that we have managed to do is encourage women to act like 'men' as u say and that is why there is now a backlash against feminism
they also still get 'passed over' for promotion in favour of men i believe mostly bcos they are likely to get pregnant and so end up on lower wage mostly - in order to even things up the government has brought in 'paternity leave' but there have been several high profile women in spotlight recently who havent done their cause much good
mark my words, within 10 years u could easily see 'maternity' and 'paternity' leave being done away with so that just like in the states u get nothing - after all this would be 'fair' and there would be no discrimination against sexes then, while a whole new generation of women would come along and be encouraged to have children who wouldnt even know they were missing anything

yes, i answered a question the other day about this ladette behavior, and i think it's because women are expected to do all the things men are supposed to do these days, so the drinking and fighting is just a part of it. well, i think women actually want to be more like men, not that they are supposed to.
i wish girls would be girls and guys be guys. i'm proud to be a woman, i don't want to be a man. i've got nothing to prove.
womens lib is backfiring and it ain't pretty!

ok, well i dont like girly gurls i HATE them and im a gurl!!! because they r so fake and i like being myself and maybe everyone else does too! society puts these "labels" on how a gurl is supposed to act & how a boy is supposed to act, but the deal is both sexes like doing alo of the same activies together so i dont see any problem w/it!! koolies

Girly girls are a pain
Girls who pay their own way, buy their own drinks and look after themselves are a lot better!

Girls should act like girls, no matter what. That's what makes them girls. I like them feminine and girly in every way.
