I've already applied for my driving theory test and i know that when i go there a Passport is required.
I dont have a passport because i never needed one but i do have my birth certificate - would that be enough? Or do they need a photo too?

If you contact the test office they will tell you other forms of identity you can take instead.
they usually have a list of options.

Not having a passport won't be a problem, it just means you will have to prove extra details.

Just make sure you know what documents to take beforehand otherwise you may not be allowed to sit the test.

Good luck on your test!

Call ahead of time, Most of the times an official government ID with a picture on it is what they really need.

If they say you need a passport, go get one because its a good investment. Most passports last 7 years or more and who knows where you will go in the next seven years.

Good luck on your test though!

Your going to need a passport as of next year even if your doing to Mexico or Canada.
Puerto Rico is the only exception

I took my theory years ago and I had to just take a passort photo like those from a photo booth, and my instructor signed the back to verify my ID. I think they mean you have to take a recent passport photo, go to a photo booth.

you want to your provisional licence, which could be a image card and a paper counterpart. The old licences did no longer used to have photocards so if yours is an old one with out image you opt for for a passport or another form of photographic identity. stable success!

Not everybody has/needs a passport. Take as much formal I.D. as you have, if in doubt.
