Probably as sad as when a woman goes into a curry house with her wine and lager swilling mates and orders plain chicken and chips because they didnt have fish!!!!!!!!

I love Chinese food, so know what you mean, however, if he doesn't like Chinese food he may have been better off doing that than going to a different takeaway on his own, that happened to a member of my family, wanted a different takeaway after a night out so left his mates, got jumped by a a gang and was viciously maimed.

Generally though, I wouldn't make fun of someone who doesn't like certain foods. Unless they're vegetarian, they're fair game, the salad munchers.

I can't say I know any chinese restaurants that sell fish & chips. Does seem rather sad but I guess business is business, if restaurants want to serve that then it's their call

About as sad as ordering vegetarian in a Steak House!
If it is on the menu..... why feel sad?

it is sad. But even sadder is going into a chinese. They have terrible hygiene standards, my best friend work for the enviromental health, and she wouldn't eat in or out if I paid her to.
