We just found out yesterday that we're expecting! I'm so excited and I just want to call everyone and tell them. I know though that it's best to wait. I'm about 5 weeks along. We want to surprise our parents... any ideas?

Yes they know about my "partner" they were all there on our wedding day. I'm not stressing about it... I just want ideas!

put a little doll in a basket on their porch and leave a sweet note or something to tell them it you, who is expecting

The only reason to wait longer is that it cuts down on the amount of time people tell you horrible stories or tell you how to live your life while carrying.
But if you aren't worried about that, go for it!
I say the news itself will thrill them, no matter how you go about it. Dunno why you'd want to do anything special to surprise them. (No ideas of my own, but you've gotten some from others. The problem with the baby basket on the door step is that you'll miss their reaction -- you HAVE to be there for that, don't you? I'd vote for the cups with World's Greatest Grands on them.)

you should invite them and a couple of your very close friends to a small dinner party at your house next weekend. tell them that you would like to have company over for dinner because of the end of the summer coming up, or something believable.
(also, try serving baby ribbs, baby corn, and use blue and pink napkins!)
then, while you are about to eat dinner, let your partner make a toast with wine or champange, and include the big news. everybody will thrilled.

i like yellow fuzzy's concept. We theory approximately doing the two that or getting customized m&ms that mentioned "we are pregnant" on one and then the due date on the different coloration, and we could are transforming into pink and blue for the colors of direction! yet we ended up no longer doing that. We basically set up a screensaver of my 2 helpful being pregnant try photos and had the pc sitting the place each and every physique ought to work out it. We sat around and talked for a couple of minutes and it got here on and that they have got been shocked! It replaced into somewhat exciting.

We took my parents out to a restaurant and told them over dinner. One thing you could do would be to buy something Grandma and/or Grandpa specific (like a picture frame that says I love my Grandma etc) and wrap it up and give as a just because gift.

awwww. ok well here is a suggestion. tell your parents you have to go to the hospital because you are i dont know make up something, tell your hubby to come too. then when you get there go to the maternity ward where you can see all the babies. then when they ask you if your lost or something say no i wanted to bring you guys here to tell you.... then pull out some shirts saying grandma and grandpa give it to them and say your going to be grandparents. I dont know i think its a good sugestion. well hun good luck and congrats.

Get your husband to get a dad to be hat or something like that and wear it over there and when they say something about it say you never noticed the hat or shirt or whatever and look at your hubby and say who's baby ya havin ya never told me have him play along then say just kidding its me you're gonna be grand parents. Good luck and have fun. Wish I would've thought of doing something fun with my parents.

Aww congrats! What I want to do with my next one is get a materinity t-shirt (even though there's no belly yet) that says Baby Storrs Under Construction... and see how long it takes them to realize lmao.

u should get them a card saying your going to be grandparirants that will be a surprise and then if u get a scan b4 u give them the card put the scan in aswell i hope i give u some ideas

It's a store called dollar tree, and it sells ribbons like "Soon to be grandma or grandpa" "Big brother or Big sister" I think you should try purchasing one of those ribbons and put in there mailbox and let them call you and tell you congratulations and that they are happy! Good Luck!!!!!!
