I Live in Wisconsin, IL, USA. Due to it being right in the middle of the continent, we have some pretty harsh winters. Furthermore, it is cold, or at least chilly, about 8 months out of the year.
If you are living right by the ocean (or on an island, such as England), be happy that the weather is at least more temperate.
P.S. I'm glad you liked it here. I enjoyed the UK as well, when I was there.

Well, I live in Oregon, and it rains a lot! But this summer it has been pretty nice, not a ton of rain...at least untill fall comes!
