Hobbycraft is good but pricey. You can get peels offs from ebay saying 'Hang in there' 'Thinking of you' etc.
Then you could make a little person out of funky foam and card (also to be found on ebay) with arms out stretched as though giving a hug. Or put a cute pic of cats or dogs snuggling.
Or put 'These are a few of your few of my favourtite things' and just jam pack the front with pics of all things you know she likes such as fave musician, perfume, lippy etc.
Or just get some handmade flowers off ebay and arrange them in a bunch tied with ribbon on the front with just some nice coloured paper as a back ground.
Best of luck.

Get some funky paper. If you havent got any, check out the insides of white business envelopes- they have blue patterns printed on them which are quite cool.
Tear the paper into a 6 cm square.(fold first then wet the edge for a tear not a rip!) Then get some other contrasting paper and do the same, but a little smaller. Stick the two squares on top of each other. Then put something on the squares... could be a leaf or a cut out heart or star, a pressed flower,sticker...anything! Stick on the middle of the card. Then type something inspirational (a quote or poem) on some coloured paper. Cut it out and stick along the bottom of the card.
Hey presto. A cheap as chips card that looks like you've made an effort when in fact its taken you 5 minutes!

Go to your local library and look in the papercrafts section. You will find lots of books. Look at the different ideas for inspiration.
There are also at least half a dozen monthly card-making magazines and there are internet sites too. Also ask among your friends and relations - many card makers work in groups where they can share ideas, techniques and the more expensive tools.

Making cards is a very fast growing hobby. I think it is because even if you think you can't draw or paint you can satisfy your creative urge even if you are buying all the components how you arrange them is your personal choice. I have noticed at workshops that each person likes to do something a little different to the next even when following a set pattern.

Fun, kid-style drawings will crack her up! Try a monkey hanging on a vine, or something like that. Use some funky green yarn to give the vine a 3-D look. Add some seed beads and stuff for some added dimension. Just use whatever crafty stuff you have to sparkle-it up. Have fun with the envelope too.

Whatever you do, make sure it's special enough for her to know you're thinking about her.

A combination of Decorative stencils, hole punchers, stamps, cool blue or pink craft tissue paper, and kind words should do the trick. You can probably find most of these things in a local craft store, I like Michael's Arts and Crafts, but its really up to you and your budget. Also, the following website is helpful: www.qvc.com

HobbieCraft should have loads of accessories to help you make a home made card...hope all turns out well :)
You can make it in any shape, style or form, as long as it turns out nice and shows that you have put a lot of thought into it, she should like it...

If you go to a craft shop you can buy the card part along with an envelope. They buy whatever you want to decorate it with - flower or whatever, and craft glue to attach this. You can buy stickers with words or messages on to put on the front.

How about some poetry on the front , printed and cut out. With perhaps some sort of collage of flowers or leaves in the back ground
