like sometimes theres 9 innings and sumtimes theres 5...i duno prabably its cuz im stupid....

A regulation game is 9 innings, but can be official after 5 innings if the home team is losing, or 4 1/2 innings if the home team is winning.

You're not stupid. It is complicated if you aren't familiar with it. Basically, a game is supposed to last for 9 innings. An inning consists of each team getting to bat, while the other team takes the field positions. Sometimes, bad weather will be so persistent, that the umpire will decide to call the game. Calling the game can happen at any time, but if it is after the home team has had its turn at bat in the 5th inning, the game will be counted as a win. If the visiting team is ahead after it has had its turn in the 5th inning, they will get the win. If the game is tied, it will be resumed from that point at a later date.

when talking about major league baseball, the only times you would play less than 9 innings is in the case of the game being called due to inclement weather or other "natural" cause. if one of those situations arises, then yes, a game can be official after 4.5 or 5 innings.
this only happens a few times a season league wide, most games will go the full 9 innings(8.5 if home team ahead in 9th)or into extra innings if the game is tied.

Little kids' teams have fewer innings. But in major league, it's over when not only have the 9 innings been played but 1 team is ahead. If it takes 11 they play 2 more than planned.

It depends. Kids play sometimes for a set time limit, or a set limit of innings (i.e. 6 innings). In college, our girls' softball team played 7 innings per game, unless there was a tie. MLB teams play 9 innings per game, unless there is a tie.

u end a game in the nith inning enless the game is tied than they go extra innings
