Can anyone tell me about "My Space"? The median age of the participants? Was under the maybe mistaken impression that site is directed towards the younger generation. And since I find it pathetic and distasteful (and possibly illegal) to see "older" generations "chasing" younger members of society, have shied away from the site. Not to mention the great time I have here on Yahoo answers. So can you sell me on the concept? Thanks.

myspace.com seems to be nothing more than children playing at being grown ups.
The site itself does not monitor what is being said in the threads, and if by chance you happen to make a post these children don't believe in, or disagree with they do the usual childish thing and flame you.
The average age is that of pre-teen up to mid teen agers.
And the mind set clearly supports this, if you ever have the misfortune of reading any of the questions in their forum there.
When it first came to be I had an account there (now since deleted)...you couldn't pay me to be on there now.

Myspace is just a blog that you create. You make your own web page. You have friends and can post comments and have games and stuff. People also go on there to network their buisness. The age group varies from young pre-teen to senior citizen. It can be a very cool place to keep in touch with your friends or to find new ones. There are gross people on there but there are everywhere. As long as you dont get involved with that you should be okay.
