A system that would automatically purge unnecassary fat with all the other bodily wastes - keeping everyone's body fat percentage within a healthy range. This system would automatically go dormant if a person was in famine or starvation mode, meaning they were eating very little.

Additional sense organs for 'seeing' infrared radiation, feel (or hear?) electromagnetic fields, or using echolocation to 'see' our surroundings in the dark- the joys we get from being able to see, hear, feel-it would be like discovering an entirely different world and more interesting, i think, than just being able to see, hear or smell better.
