California hands down. You can experience every season and do everything you could possibly want to do without ever leaving the state. You can ski and surf all in one day just by going from the mountains to the coast. Plus Cali is more beautiful with hills and valleys, while Florida is basically just flat with humidity and swamps - yuck! Finally, both have more than their share of natural disasters with earthquakes, brush fires, floods and hurricanes, but Cali people seem to be more open minded, while Florida - well, they are in the "Bushes" - need I say more?

Nither for me. I don't like the bad storms in Florida and the fact that Bush's brother is running the state. Cali has too many mud slides and earth quakes and wild fires and the crime is way too high.
So I pick Arkansas, Texas, Ky or just about any state in the central part of the country.

It would depend on your age, career, socio-economic status, etc. Florida is largely populated by retirees. The weather is tropical and there is a hurricane risk. California has mediterranean-like weather - not humid, not too hot, not too cold. The cost of living is extremely high because of the pleasant, year-round weather. There is a risk of earthquakes.

California, fell in love with the place when i first went there, I came from a place where grey was the theme , to a place where colour ruled the roost.

I like Florida for Disney Land. But I also like California for LA and Hollywood. So its a toss up. But NYC is the best out of all of them because its just so diffferent.

Neither. They both are ready to sink. They have earthquakes, hurricanes, poison bugs and the crime is major. All for some warm weather. Not me... Try Michigan...It has none of the above except crime in the big city. Live in a small town and watch all the nice seasons.
