I want to take songs and form a mix for myself... Can I get these songs off the internet anymore? Or is it all illegal? What site to go to? Help?

Looking for something free? Is it still illegal if I have another person's cd's, and copy them to my own?

it is illegal to get them for free... but you can get them from iTunes for 99 cents a piece or from your own CD collection...

stealing them off the internet is a Federal crime punishable by 5 years in jail and 150,000 dollars per song fine...

If you pay the songs on pretty much anysite, including Y!, Itunes (look for "downloadable songs") it's legal, otherwise if it's on P2P, it's illegal.

You can go to several sites and purchase music to download. I use rhapsody, but there are many such sites you can use.
