My daughter has roaches and nothing seems to work to get rid of them. She has tried bombing, Home Defense Max (but I think there was too many where it couldnt reach to kill them), boric acid.

Any other suggestions? We can't afford to have a professional come in.

You will need lots of baits and patience. The problem with the bombs and the sprays is that they only kill a few roaches at a time. The newer baits have a growth inhibitor and make the roaches unable to reproduce. Also make sure that there is no water or food source for the roaches I had some nasty roaches that I discovered upon moving into my new home, but I did call the exterminator, and this is basically what he told me. It took me about 3 months to get rid of all the roaches in my home, so be patient.

make sure the house is clean and clutter free (no magazines piled up or in boxes) spray the outside and inside with raid or something and stay out of the house for the day come back and clean up the dead roaches, spray the garbage can each night. Try not to leave food or dirty dishes out for too long and sweep and mop the floors daily. It sounds like you may need professional help if this doesn't help. Good luck they are pesky!

If she's in an apartment building they will just keep coming back from the other apartments.
If it's a private residence, trying cleaning like crazy. Take everything out of every kitchen cabinet & drawer and scrub away. If there's shelf paper get rid of it-egg and roaches hide underneath. Put all food in plastic containers (you can get them way cheap at Walmart, Target, 1 dollar stores, Ikea) or ziplock bags and keep the outside of the containers clean (I always cut the box and put it inside the container facing out so you can tell flour from bisquick from pancake mix). Wash every dish, utensil, pot and pan.
Move the stove and refrigerator and anything else that can be moved and scrub behind and underneath.
The only costs will be your time (lots of it), the cleaning products and the cheap plastic containers. Good luck.

Scorpions kill all my crickets & roaches. I look where I'm walking, when I get up in the night :-)
