Some states have an expungement process in which u can have ur record cleard after so many years (depending on whether or not ur being charged with a felony or midemeanor). However if u were arrested, the arrest will stay on ur record as far as background checks are concerned.

The only way I can think of is if there was someone else involved, and you can make a deal with the prosecution if you rat on him. However, this would only work if it was someone they wanted more than you.

Other than that, I don't think there is any way to "clean the record."
