with 512 megs of ram, and a 70 (?) gig hd. both hard drives are essentially empty. i don't know my bus speed. i don't know my graphics card or accelerator. this is all i know. which is more likely to allow second life to run smoothly (it froze the pc, today, once, and was clunky, even at low-medium resolutions, and the like)?

If you are running the 3000 without an add in graphics card and sound card. Probably the Mac. If you are not sure if you have an add in card. look at the back of you dell. if you plug your monitor into area were there are a cluster of inputs - you do not. If you plug it into a seperate area a few inches down from the rest you do. More than like you don't. Dell 3000's don't have agp or pciexpress ports.

I think the Mac would be faster
