They are now calling my wife and asking for her to set them up with a friend. I think they are stepping over the line.

Just like that.

"So and so, I am not your friend, I am the manager (boss, owner, etc.) and you are my employee. You work according to what I tell you and you get paid for it. If you dont understand this, then you need to find another job.

Got it?

Now go back to work."

If they try to argue or have a conversation. You put your hand up and tell them that "This is not a debate."

You don't have to give them reasons.

I had to experience being my supervisors only employee, she treated me different than other staff in the office;some days I would feel totally isolated from the inner office conversations and the camaraderie of the other ladies. My supervisor would eat lunch with the other staff and never me,but I know this is what bestso that I do not have any high expectations.

Why arent you a freind? or did the position just go to your head. ?most boss men or women have freinds unless of course they dont respect you in the position of being a boss then fire them or threaten them . okay?

You plain out tell them. You sit them down and you have a conversation and tell them that you can't be friends and the reasons why.
Hope this helps!
