It's not easy and probably the only way not to think about it is to spend your time thinking about other things...

Remember that the symptoms are so similar to other things that it's nearly impossible to psych it out until it's already late enough to test.

I know it's hard but if you countdown the days it will only seem longer. Just let yourself know that on whatever day the 8th day ends on you can test, and then put your mind at ease. Try to do some interesting actitivites, watch a new movie, buy a new outfit, something to get your mind off of that. Maybe spend some time with a friend. Whenever your mind drifts just remember, your day to test is on the day you chose.... : )
Good Luck. Also remember that testing too earlier won't show you anything either. I tested one day before my period should start and I got a neg. Although when I tested the day that my period should have started, it was positive. So remember, although testing early sometimes can lead to show positive, chances are that you won't get a correct response! (Just think if it shows up neg, than you STILL have to wait those extra days) Just save your money and test when you KNOW it will be accurate!

: )

I know the feeling, I have 4 more days before I can test... I'm bad too every time I walk into a store I end up in the baby section looking at the clothes and whenever I have free time I'm online pricing cribs and play pens. I've been going to garage sales and flea markets and buying books to distract myself. You can get a huge box of novels for like 5 bucks and the reading will keep you occupied for hours at a time.

Try to keep yourself as busy as possible with other things that you have to concentrate on. Try picking up a new hobby, like learning a language you are interested in, knitting or dancing or whatever else you might like. Then throw yourself into it completely. You will find a constructive way to pass the time, and at the end of the eight days, you will have a new skill!

I think trying a new hobby is a great way to keep your mind of pregnancy. It will help keep you occupied while waiting. Also if you dont get pregnant this month it can help lower the stress through the next cycle of trying. Good Luck

Just try to go about your daily life as if nothing is happening. I know it's very hard but try to do things that you find enjoyable.
