That simply means that the guy is a supporter of equal rights for women in some way. Since I happen to believe that should be the case, I suppose that I'm a feminist, and I'm a guy.

You'll have to talk to the girl who placed the feminist label on the guy. At least you'll find out what she meant by it in that instant. It could have been no more than a comment on the dude's momentary non-piggishness.
The meaning can't be fixed here; there is too little information about the characters involved.

Have you ever noticed how the mops and brooms sold in supermarkets are built to feminist scale? Is there a feminist conspiracy to make ordinary household maintenance a punishing ordeal to men?

If he was using the term in the proper context, he meant the guy advocates equal rights for women. If he doesn't have a clue what a feminist is, he might have used the term derogatorily, meaning that the fellow is gay. Totally inappropriate use of the word, if this is the case.

Ask her, A Guy can be feminist too, A guy can believe that people have to try for equality and justice between sexes or even a guy can believe that females are superior.

It means she thinks he believes people should be treated equally regardless of their gender. It's a compliment.
Some ill-educated people have strange ideas about what feminism is...as you can see from some of the replies here. Astonishingly, some young women today think they should not call themselves feminists - perhaps they think they're not worth equal treatment.

it depends, did the girl say it as a back-handed compliment or a sugar-coated insult? as an insult , it could mean that the guy is a closet homosexual or if if it's a compliment, maybe it could mean that the guy is sympathetic to women's causes...
