Yes. People need a minimum of 0.5 oz water per pound each day... more if you are exercising. I don't believe in the one-size-fits-all 8 glasses-a-day answer

Water during exercise is tres' important (ever notice the water handed to runners in a marathon, or the water bottles on bikes?)

Carry a water bottle with you during exercise. I usually add Cytomax to mine before I arrive at the gym.

More important is that you drink before (= all day) and after exercise. If you work out hard you may want to drink some during exercise, too, but just have a sip or two at a time while yer still working out or you may get nauseous/have stomach cramps.

Gatorade etc isn't necessary unless you work out very hard and/or frequently or if your daily diet's not very well balanced.

yes it does, it replaces the water lost i sweat and helps keep you hydrated
if you body isnthydrated then it wont sweat
and sweat cools your body down
so if you do not sweat then your body will overheat and will not beable to work as hard
