The National Defense ribbon is\was handed out to anyone serving during a time of war. I don't think it qualifies as a medal per say. Neither does the small arms expert. Without a doubt he did have his aviator wings. I'm no fan of Bush's and I would classified him as a spoiled rich boy who used his daddy's wealth and connections to avoid service in an area that would not have been conducive to his safety... but the lack of medals is sorta net picky. Let's make fun of Laura Bush's 700 hair cut! A number of Commissioned Officers have an entire chest of medals that mean absolutely nothing.... in fact a more than a few will fly over an area\theater just to get a medal.

Technically, he's qualified. Of course having a father who was VP, President and head of the CIA didn't hurt his cause any.
The fact that he went to Yale and can barely string a sentence together is alarming.
As is the fact that most American's don't even know what the Bill of Rights is....
Which would explain a lot about how he was elected.

Yale Graduate in cheer leading (just kidding about the last part).
Qualifications are a bit trickier. He ran two companies into the ground, and served one, count em, one, term as governor of Texas. One. That is it.

There are only three qualifications one must meet to become persident of the United States.
1) must be 35 years of age
2) must be a natural US citizen (citizen at birth)
3) must have resided in the US for at least 14 years
George Bush, who does have a degree from Yale, meets all of these conditions, therefor is qualified.
