It takes a special tool to compress the star spring inside the coupler. I have seen patient people push each of the five or six fingers of the star spring down one at a time with a small pocket screwdriver while pulling on the connector. However this puts your eyes in line with the fuel that may come whoosing out. You can crack the line at the fuel filter to loose the pressure. Good luck Note on my 97 I had to come up with a green O ring to make the coupler seal. The O ring GM says only comes on the fuel line. I retrieved one out of a ford fuel line coupler

the problem you are going to have is not moving your fuel injectors because if you do then you MUST replace then with new ones $$$ but shops charge$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the rest is not hard but remember not to forget to depresserize the ling gas in the eyes sux use tape to make sure that you dont get dirt in the engion there should be a cap that is aluminum that looks simalar to the caps on the tires but make sure that you are not depreserising your AC line(that can be cold) any other Questions just post and if I see it I will be glad to help

you will need a quick disconnect tool or two small skew drivers to depress the spring and then change the rail.
