If you all respect everybody no matter their characteristics, then it means that it is too easy to respect somebody. Do you really respect all the women/men yo met? I do think that respect should not be such a simple thing and and it should not be confused with love.

Respect is to be earned. It is not something anyone can just demand from another person. To respect another person meant that you have high regard for that person's humanity and personhood in general.

When I see a person for the first time , I respect that person. Man or woman. If the respect grows or disappears depends on the character of the other person. Have no reason not to respect a person whom I haven't known before. Love is something different. You don't love evryone you respect. Even Mr. Bush respected Saddam's information minister on TV. Anyway , if you love , respect definitely is there. one learns to respect the other person when in love , I think. By the way , if the respect and love was brought about on false pretexts , then first respect and then love will wither away.

Coz, life for woman is tougher than men almost everywhere on this planet. Yet she does not give up and continues to fight for equality. Women throughout the centuries have not got the respect they deserve from men, and in a large no of cases from women as well. The fact that women have seen thru all this and continue to fight for justice and enjoy life is reason enough to respect them.

I try to respect all women I meet. But I'll admit, when I see a girl acting like a total whore (so sorry for the degrading term here) it's hard for me to even THINK about her in a respectful way. I will usually just not associate with those types.
My main reason to respect a woman is that it's the right thing to do, and all people who respect themselves deserve respect from me, male or female. That's my reason for respecting women in my mind. But my reason for TREATING a woman with respect is that I just love them so damn much, I can't help but worship them. Yes, I'm a sap. It's pathetic.

Meaning of God without pure LOVE is meaningless. It is only through a mother, a woman , inside whom the life comes into being.When I got married 35 years back I knew it well that it is only through her I will feel the charisma called life. She became pregnant and tears of love filled me up. I felt she carried the temple of God inside HER. I found an eternal sense of belonging to this planet. I stopped every kind of external worship through religious modes.Looked at Her and felt immortal.
I always offered Her the first morsel of food i ever ate and did what i could to make her feel that nothing belonged to me . Every thing i earned I put into her hands and never questioned what she did with the money. The LOVE I received from HER can not be measured. HER love till date is much more stronger than mine.God gave us so much that what we have is more than what we need in materialistic values.Even now I wake up at nights ,look at her face and tears of love and devotion fill me up. It is not that we never had difference of opinion or we never fought in life. Those quarrels and fights were merely circumstantial adjustments in the day to day life.I have no heavens I want to reach other then the desire to be with her through these dust particles which will absorb the woman I loved as representative of my God and source of eternal love-bond
holding the religious scriptures and talking of a god have led to divisions of mankind and every religious enthusiast has a kind of hatred for the other religion. Terrorists are an out come this attitude. If Jesus is a source of inspiration for the christians then Mohhamad is a source of inspiration for the Muslims.So are the other religions in the world.
On a practicle level and spiritual level recognition of this reality is paramount. Just thinking and meditating about their seperate religions will lead to extinctionof mankind. My Inspiration through my wife has put me deep inside the womb of this planet and a new prospective of a real God emerged.I am not dividing the world and have no hatred but a message of LOVE and source which is possible for every one to realize. My wife is a woman like this earth from whom i recived the meaning of LOve and life.Christians can keep their bibles and Muslims can keep their Quaraan . Without love and sense of belonging to this planet all is over.

When she can show class by not overtly acting or looking like a whore.I personally can give common respect due a woman or any other person easily.Giving common respect is a matter of good human interaction however,the way in which one carries ones self denotes the level of respect.

I have great respect for women who are independant enough to not always be seeking approval and attention and excitement. Especially attractive women, because they got so much attention and I am sure it must be easy to become accustomed to it.
My mother taught me to respect women, but I have learned not to respect 'femininity'. Femininity is about being attractive and getting attention. The dozen or so divorces I know of have all been from the woman seeking attention elsewhere. I believe love comes from a position of strength, not need. I respect women who use their femininity responsibly to give and support.
