Thinking about getting my first tattoo, something artistic. Any ideas?

i would get an anime or cartoon charcter i like! or a dragon with a chinese symbol on it! that would be cool!

Dude...seriously, do NOT get one.
When I turned 18, I got a skull tattoo. It had pretty good detail and color. I was VERY proud of it for about 4 years. Now, I am embarassed by it. No matter what you pick, it will look ridiculous in 10 years, both the idea and the artwork itself...yes even tribal or symbols. It will become dated, just like hair styles...especially now with guys having that stupid look slop look...15 years from now people are going to be LAUGHING THEIR HEAD OFF about that...but they can get a hair cut.
Unless you want to spend a couple grand, you can't remove the tattoo. IF you absolutely must get one, make sure it cannot be seen wearing a t shirt and shorts. NEVER get one on your face or neck. NEVER get one below the wrist.
And if you do get one, and 10 years down the road you DO regret...remember that you had now to turn back.

Tribal tattoos are really cool!!!! Go to Miami and have one of the guys from Miami Ink do your First Tattoo!!!!!! How Cool would that be?????? WOW!!!!!!!!!

I would get something I wanted to have permanently. One must consider that the skin changes as we age.

I would get a little colorful mushroom, if I ever decide to get one...that probly wouldn't be right for you though...get something that fits you and your personality :)

Only get one if you're really sure you want to get it, and just make sure it's something meaningful so you don't hate it later on.
