If I were old enough, and didn't have a boyfriend of my own, I'd probably date a guy who was into comics! Probably 'cause I'm interested in them myself, though, not a general 'girls love guys with comics fetishes' rule. n_n I'm sure there are plenty of other folks like me, though!
I don't think that you should have to change to be liked; find someone who loves you for who you are, comics, Optimus Prime, and all! Don't give up just because one person didn't understand you!
Good luck!

I split up with t'other half a few weeks ago too... Have also descended into geekdom to try and break the misery!
No, you're not shallow, hey, I felt better after a few films (Shaun of the Dead and the Spaced series actually!), chocolate bars and RPGs, probably because I was getting caring substitute affection from my geek pals. But to be fair to the other posters out there, your question does make you sound a bit of a muppet... Sorry! (but being a geek's not necessarily a turn-off - 'Glamour' (yes, yes, I know!) advocates it on p.118 this month if you're interested. Though I'm not sure Transformers was quite was they meant...)
Beware of trying to hide what you're really feeling behind a load of trivial fun stuff - You'll still need to deal with it. My depression about being split from my ex, having abated during my chocolate/RPG splurge, has now come back tenfold, and I'm having to deal with it properly right now.
Which is a bit crap...
So... Any cute single geeks out there near London?

your not shallow or sad, just being you. If it makes you happy then thats the main thing. You've got yourself a nestegg for the future with comics and anniversary specials.
Transformers are great, had them as a kid and got them for my son (hes only 3 but can work them out better than I can!)
My friend is really into comics, and all things marvel etc. got me into them aswell! But some of his comics are worth loads now.
you will find a nice girl who will apprechiate you for who you are (as long as you give her as much attention as your comics etc!)
Its better to buy something you enjoy than turning to drink and chatting up anything that walks which gets you no-where.
Good for you xx

Why shallow?
Whatever makes you happy hun!
I got dumped about 4 weeks ago and went to loads of gigs, rock clubs, day trips etc and I'm well over it now.
My music makes me happy and its a lot more than I can say for him!
Just hope that playing on the motorway makes him happy! Lol!!
You know, the last I'll say on the matter is, at least your hobbies can never hurt you!

I REALLY don't want to bump into you in town now!
I bet I could spot you a mile off!!!!
If you give up all your little boy toys and go and buy some from the Ann Summers shop, maybe you will get a new girlfriend!

No that isn't shallow, it's rather cool, if only you were fifteen, we'd be great friends and play video games and beat the crap out of eachother with homemade weapons, find new things to do with duct tape, heck, you might even have joined our jedi/ninja training academy.

confident. the in straightforward words time I hangout with my fat acquaintances is at the same time as their mothers and fathers are out of city, and that i will apply their position to throw a get at the same time, plus at the same time as i'm lower than the impression of alcohol i do not really imagine about them being fat, so i wager i'm no longer that shallow.
