Sometimes when men have a bowel movement, the feces pushes on the prostate; the prostate may be stimulated by either the pressure of the waste matter in the rectum or by the muscular straining as waste is pushed out. The main function of the prostate is to supply fluid for the sperm during ejaculation. If the prostate gland is stimulated, fluid production may begin and could cause semen to appear in the urine; it may also cause semen to `ejaculate' from the penis during a bowel movement. This is normal; however, if accompanied by pain or burning, this may indicate a possible infection or disorder of the male reproductive organs. If you are concerned about `ejaculating' during bowel movements or are experiencing any pain or burning, it is recommended that you discuss these concerns with your physician.
Another cause I can mention is about Diabetes -The semen mixes with urine in the bladder and leaves the body during urination, without harming the bladder. But that only happens after the sexual act due to a retrograde ejaculation. I don't think it's your case!
The last, it is more likely that prostatic fluids will be expelled during or after urination as the sphincter muscle closes. Some men who ejaculate infrequently, as well as some men with normal ejaculatory frequency, experience the same type of urethral discharge as they defecate. As firm or hard stool passes through the rectum, it produces a natural prostatic massage which pushes fluid from the engorged prostate into the urethra, from which it can drip out.
Evidently you are noticing it more because aging gives back a general muscles and tissues loosening.
OK?

Hey guys, I have been having these problems too. Last year I had a serious accident and as a result I have to take high dose modified release morphine daily. It has been something I've been worried and quite embarrassed about, but to see that other guys have this problem and are talking about it has put me at ease. I have been taking sennacot which helps to soften things up, but when I forget to take it I have noticed that I have the symptoms as you all have indicated. It works for me, I hope it will be a handy tip for others.

I wondered about that myself, I read somewhere that when you are going to the bathroom your prostate is being massaged, it doesn't feel good but some does come out sometimes, nothing gross, it happens more if you haven't ejaculated recently.

It sounds unusual. Maybe you should give your doctor a phone call and see if he thinks you might want to come in for an appointment. To me it sounds like your prostate is on the sensitive side and movement in the rectal area might be stimulating it to produce the flow you notice.
