Several things. It varies from wanting to feel closer to their religion to being tired of living as a minority to feeling that it's their birthright.
Israel is a holy concept to many people, and that is reason enough for them. Religion is one of the biggest motivating factors in existance.

Every single time we pray, we face Israel and pray to return to Israel. Almost 2,000 years we were exiled from Israel, our then home country. Ever since, Jews have given up everything to retur. Anti Semitism and world persecution across the ages has reminded us that we're exiled, and no where else is our country.

They were kicked out of their land/city, by the romans.
They were sent to prisons, and ISRAEL WAS "WIPED OFF THE MAP" . In 1948 Israel again became a nation.
Ever since that we have been in the BEGINNING OF THE END.
YES, THE BIBLE IS TRUE, and we are near the end of the PROPHECIES before the return of CHRIST, JESUS!!!
So keep looking up.
It seems to me this whole thing with Hezbolla will escalate, then RUSSIA (GOG& MAGOG the kings to the NORTH) and RED CHINA and all the MUSLIM states/countries...Basically the whole dam* world , besides us, will go against ISRAEL 1,000,000,000 STRONG...(1 billion strong). That is the war in which GOD will intervene wiping out the army that rises up against Israel, leaving only like,1 out of ten, to live. The only reason GOD will allow any of ISRAELS ENEMIES to live...Is so that they can go back to their countries and tell their people...THERE TRULY IS A GOD, ISRAEL NEVER GOT A SHOT OFF, AND THEIR GOD, THE ONE TRUE GOD WIPED OUT OUR ARMIES SUPERNATURALLY.

well, in my opinion, any one who defines him or herself in terms of a nation is a schmuck. so if some one is going to live in Isreal just because thats the base of his or her nation he is a schmuck.#
