Those dry ice fog machines are so affordable now. You just have to get one. It will make every other decoration you do look so authentic. If you want all the details for a really awesome Halloween party that is a scavenger hunt, e-mail me. We did this two years in a row and it's a scream. Too much info to list all of it on here, but I'm willing to type it all in and send you if you are interested. I have the invitation, the instructions, the scavenger list, etc.

Dear Little Miss That Would Be Grate i agree store bought costumes suck and hardly last long enough to enjoy Halloween with out tearing. Thus i recommend everyone wearing their own Birthday suits to your party for there is nothing scarrier then a bunch of overweight candy eaten people froliking around the candy dish naked.

I have gone as the Krypt Keeper, Death, a tombstone, a cluster of purple grapes(used purple balloons and wore brown tights so my legs could be the stems. I made a green leaf hat out of felt that looked like leaves) Seems like Pirates of the caribbean is popular this year. Good luck and have fun.
For your halloween party you could always fill rubber gloves with water that has been dyed with green food coloring and put them in your punch. For your desserts you can make cakes or cheesecakes look like spiderwebs on top of them.
A good website for ideas is; Verybestbaking.com; this is a nestles baking website and it has alot of great ideas.

Use candlelight as much as possible. Go to www.orientaltrading.com and buy bags of small spiders and other creepy stuff. Tape the individual spiders to the wall with tiny pieces of masking tape. You will have to use dozens, but makes a great creepy effect. Use the bags of spider webs everywhere. They are really easy to use and cheap. Just spread them really thin. Make specimen jars and label them...Use old mayo jars, clear spice containers, anything. Fill with plastic body parts, herbs, leaves, sticks-call them dried frog warts, twig of the Austrian Venom Bush etc. Outside, make crosses/headstones for the front yard. I made 30 crosses with sticks and string and spray painted white and stuck all across the front yard. Put electric candles in the windows to be seen from outside, like used at Christmas. Buy a plastic skull and cover with spiders and webs for a centerpiece. Buy a cheap scary mask from Walmart and create a body for it with stuffed old clothes. Get large pieces of plastic, like from a mattress, must be thin and completely clear, attach to your front porch, near front door. Put on a rubber glove and dip in dark red paint. Smear your hands all over, not too much, just to look like bloody hands prints, a struggle perhaps.
BTW..."grate" is something you do to cheese I believe you mean great.
