Be cause a man can have the whole world and still lose his soul. What makes a man or woman for that matter happy is not the material things! It is love, family, friendship, a fishing trip, the sunrise or sunset, the beauty that you see in others,the breath of your new born child......etc. Its in all of life's memories and journeys that you will find happiness, not in the money that buys you what you think will make you happy.

Have you ever played the Sims? Have you ever used cheat codes to give yourself loads of money and built your dream house with all the toys that you ever wanted already installed?
Suddenly, the game got boring. The point no longer mattered. Working toward success in the career category was not as fun. The motivation was gone. Keeping your Sims happy was no longer fulfilling.
The same can be said of life. When we have everything we wanted... what is there left to want/do? Some of the poorest people are those that have had everything they could ever want from birth and therefore never had to earn anything for themselves... and therefore they never learned what satisfaction is.
Once a goal is achieved, if there is not another goal to pursue, life will lose its meaning. As Aerosmith so aptly quoted Emerson, "Life is a JOURNEY, not a destination." The minute that journey has ended, you die -- whether in body or spirit.
Therefore, it is not just greed that drives the human race to greater wealth, knowledge and achievement. It is survival.

Men never get satisfaction with physical pleasures. Yes, we see by our own eyes that no man is contented even if he owns the world!
Because man is a spiritual being, he will find true joy only when he gets into reunion with his heavenly Father, the One True God. And it is fortunate for all of us now, because Baha'u'llah, the Promised One of all religions has come to show the way to that spiritual reunion.

man always wants more, this is called greed. If you give a man all the treasures in the world, you just spoiled him. The only people who appresiate the value of something are those who worked for it and have barely had any thing handed to them.

If people were content, then there would be no motivation for new inventions or discoveries. We would become stagnant and eventually die off.

You are only turely happy when you are at peace with God and knowing that he dwells with in you! That is the only time you will be at peace! I beleive in my God, but you go ahead and beleive in yours! Only my God the true God can give you what you desire!
