I'm a registered Republican, but vote on issues and candidates. I'm 40 now and have never voted straight Republican in any election.

I used to be a Democrat, standing around with my hand out and wanting the government to take care of me.

After a coulple of years of that, I got a job, worked hard, and became a Republican.

I'm a conservative. That the republican party has more conservatives usually aligns me with them. That being said I would support a Zell Miller a long time before I would support an Arlen Spector. It is conservatism that I support regardless of the party affiliation.

Proud Republican, I don't believe in wishing the problems of the world will go away. Recognize it , and do something about it , playing the Blame Game is all the Democrats ever do .Whine,Whine Whine like a bunch of kinder gardeners, like to see them put something on the table instead of complaining about PRESIDENT BUSH....... there is a saying walk in my shoes first! there isn't a Real Man in the whole Dem Party.WHINERS they need to get over themselves and help rid the world of the terror we are facing instead of there political Gaines.

Independent
It's mostly wishful thinking, as I wish there were some alternatives to bipartisanship. Neither party adequately represents my interests. Given my choices, however, I tend to vote Democrat or 3rd party.

Independent! I don't like to be stuck in a rut. I take whatever seems to be applying best to what's going on at the time. Rather than meaning to help people, elections are more vicious than ever, on either side. I want to find the candidate that is best for a given situation, and for myself.
