I get so sick and tired of hearing about how Pittsburgh is lucky. How about the Indy game in the playoffs?! It was about to be 28-10 when they were screwed on that blown INT call. In Denver they just about knocked em back to Vail, then in the Super Bowl everyone whines about how the refs sucked. It amazes me how everyone forgot three weeks before in Indy with the blown call though, you never hear other NFL fans saying a damn thing about that. But in the Super Bowl, because so many people are jealous of Pittsburgh's talent and class, they start trying to take away Pittsburgh's win by saying how it was rigged, the refs were paid off, blown calls, blah blah blah. I saw numerous plays where there was questionable holding when Seattle had the ball, Roethlisberger was over the line, or else there was insubstantial evidence to overcall the TD. Funny how nobody whining remembers how Jeramy Stevens dropped pass after pass, meaning Seattle had their opportunities. I suppose the 75 yard run by Willie Parker and the 40+ yard gadget play by Pittsburgh was all some kind of conspiracy that the refs and the NFL front offfice actually pulled off instead of Randle El & Ward. Get a f***** life and quit whining about the Steelers win, unless you're ready to mention all the times Pittsburgh about got it up the rear this year themselves. They overcame the odds, Indy and Manning, Hasselbeck and Seattle, choked...period!

The snowball has a better chance of surviving it's proverbial journey through h*ll than the Steelers do of making, much less winning, the Super Bowl this year, and I'll tell you why..
On Offense, they lost two major players in Jerome Bettis and Antwan Randle-El. Without Bettis, Pittsburgh has no one they can rely on in the clutch short yardage/goal line situations. Willie Parker sure won't get the job done and run through people. Vernon Haynes is decent, but he's no Bettis. And then there is Duce Staley, who sucked while he was with Philly, and is even worse now.
Without Randle-El, the Steelers lose half their offensive creativity. He forced defenses to always account for him. Now, the defense can go back to normal, and focus more on Rothelsberger (who will probably get a concussion from the first big hit he takes).
On Defense, Pitt has the same problem they did last year. Their secondary and coverage are absolutely horrible. If the Defensive Line cannot get in and provide consistent pressure on the QB, they will be torched every week.
Pittsburgh + Pipe Dream = Playoffs

I don't think the Steelers chances are that strong. Remember they didn't even win the division last year, the Bengals did. Had Carson Palmer not been injured on the 1st drive of the playoff game, the Steelers may not have made it past the Bengals. Losing Randle-El will hurt, but I think Big Ben is ready to step up to the next level. Will Willy Parker and Co be able to produce consistently and who will get the tough yards near the goal line now that the Bus has retired?

The Steelers have a damn good shot. Lots of young talent, good depth, & a winning tradition all add up to a good run for the "Bowl". To all the scumbags that still feel the Steelers were given the title, get over it!!! They beat the best the league had to offer, on the road & against all the odds. Us Steeler fans aren't like the fair weather fans most teams have. We stand by our team for the duration, not just the glory days.

I'm certainly not counting them out. The Bengals are very good competition if Palmer is back 100%. The Ravens will be much improved now that they have a real QB. And yes, the Pats are still there. Probably the Ravens are the best chance out there in the AFC to reach the SB.

Well, I'm not a Pittsburgh fan but yes they are a good team. Glad big Ben came out of his accident OK as well. As far as giving them a run 4 their money,...i would say watch out 4 the usual...New England, Indianapolis. I'm a Dallas fan myself,....still waiting 4 their year to come back again.

Chances are very slim. With parody in the NFL, it's tough for any team in the leage to stand out over the long term. There are too many other teams just as good. Any team can beat any team on any given week.

I think Big Ben wont do any very impressing passes, and without the Bus the running game will not be realy great. I think the Colts might play em in playoff ang give'em a run for there money.

Slim chance, everything went their way last year. They seemed to get all the breaks. They are still a solid team, but I would not bet on a repeat.

Zero chance. A run like that won't happen again.
