Prescott isnt a Cockney....he is from Hull in Yorkshire.

I think Blair did it to make people belive that he is only human and can make mistakes.

The trouble is that its not just Prescott, who as you say is pretty much a fat moron, and also a hyprocrite who has spent all his life slagging off rich people and now he is very rich, drinks champagne, shags his secreatry, and plays croquet.

There is also Peter Mandelson, who has abused his position in order to win favours, has a boyfriend who is an illegal alien, and is pretty much the slimiest character ever in politcs, and every time Blair has to sack him, he gives him a better and more highly paid job somewhere else.

Where else can you have a job that the more you screw it up and get sacked, the more your employer pays you?
