Interesting question. Here are some options I would consider:
* If you have sufficient experience, become a Consultant
* If you have SOME experience in your desired field, become a Free-Lance Worker - - that means that you are your own boss, you set your own hours, and a company hires you for your services.
* Establish a Home-Based business. Be CAREFUL tho - because there are too many scam artists who advertise that they will "help" people to open a home based business.
* Check with your local Chamber of Comerce - they often have tons of information - - I found all sorts of great info.
* IF you live in a big metropolitan city - I know someone who said that she worked on wall street just doing financial data verification & she said she worked all alone all day.
* If you have experience as a Mechanic - many service centers hire Free-Lance Mechanics. They pay you by "piece-work" - by the number of cars you repair.
* IF you live near a nice scenic area AND if you know the area well, have you considered becoming a Local Tour Guide?
* I know some people who live near fishing areas have fished for a living & sold the fish, but I am NOT sure how much they earned.
* You can contact majot car companies & see if they will hire you to drive their new vehicles to different states. That way, you get to travel at the same time & work by yourself.
* IF you have good writing skills, become a Free-Lance Writer, or write a book.

There are many other possibilities, but I do not want to hog this forum.
Good luck.☺
