I specialize in writing resumes for the Hispanic market, in English, and for the young professionals coming out to work for the first time. I write high impact quality resumes from my home. I feel I should charge well for my work but don't want to OVERCHARGE or charge as the established places. How much is fair??

these resume writers you see on monster or hotjobs will generally charge anywhere from $100-$225 per resume. if you're just starting out then I would say at least $80-$100 bucks per shot. might wanna make a "special" too for those who need a resume, cover letter and references all at once. could charge like $150 at least for something like that/

I do the same thing and I charge $99. whereas the competition charges $200 to $500 for the equivalent professional resume. People have a tough time purchasing a resume service yet is absolutely mandatory that just about everyone has a well written resume. My background is 40 plus years in management and I hold two degrees but it is very tough to make a living doing this.

The temporary service down the street from me charges $40. I think you should charge $30-$35, to compete with competition. And yes give them a copy on disk and tell them you have a copy. Charge $5-$10 if they lose their copy. Um, now that I think about it. Maybe even charge them $5.00 more for the first disc, since they are less likely to need your services again. Good luck!

About 40 bucks, give it to them on floppy(keep a copy filed for yourself in case they lose it, tell them about this).
