Your indictment is too broad in context. A majority of people in the United States voted for Mr. Bush twice. While many do not agree with all of his policies, they felt he was better choice. The idea that a majority of Americans don't like Mr. Bush is propagated by disenchanted liberals that still cannot accept the fact that they lost twice. Liberals do not understand that they no longer have a media monopoly, and armed with more information about their policies, Americans are voting against them. Until they embrace a platform which is more palatable to the majority, Liberals will continue to lose elections where moderate votes count. Moderate votes count in most of America, and have the power to swing any election. The flyover country has spoken!
To all those posting on the popular vote. While I agree that the Electoral College needs to be dismantled, your facts are in error. In the 2000 election Gore did receive more votes than Bush (48.4% Gore, 47.9% Bush). In 2004 Bush beat Kerry soundly in the popular vote (50.7% Bush, 48.3% Kerry).
ash: Your facts are also incorrect. Review Kennedy/Nixon 1960, roughly 112,000 separating the two nationally. Closest presidential election. So close, and in dispute that many electors in the college refused to certify Kennedy.

Pay attention while it's going on!! In 2000, Gore got more votes but Bush won in the electoral college; and, during that election, in Florida we discovered that US has no good way to check when the election is very close; that we never bothered to because it had never mattered before. So we don't actually truly know who won, we just know that Bush was ahead when the Supreme Court made them stop recounting the votes. Real mess and extremely embarassing for the word's greatest exporter of democracy!!

The first time, Bush was an unknown quantity but he didn't exactly win. The Supreme Court agreed with Bush's attorneys that the vote recount should not continue in Florida. It was very clever maneuvering and we know now that those supposed Floridians banging on the windows to stop the vote were republican staffers sent down to Florida.
The second presidential election, with Bush in powers, suppression of information helped keep voters unaware of details that were less than positive about Bush And political operatives with a vested interest in Bush's election controlled the mechanics of the election. It's legal but it doesn't promote a democratic outcome.

It really is not the point. When you have such a close vote, that creates a problem because nothing gets done. Too many people are on the fence. If you had a 60 vs. 40% vote, more would be accomplished. The country is heavily divided. I know a lot of my friends who were liberals voted for him in the last election because he made them feel safer for the sake of their family.

Its all about middle class snobbery.
If you were at a party or an event and you admitted in public that you voted for Bush, the sneering middle class university educated liberals in the room would ridicule you, therefore most Bush supporters keep it to themselves.
The result of that is that the only people you ever hear are the self important anti bush people, who them make the assumption that because no-one argues with them then no-one supports Bush.
Its the same with populist T.V reality shows and soap operas. No-one will ever admit to watching them because they think that "clever" people will look down on them, but they consistently get millions and millions of viewers.

Only the liberal press bashes President Bush, and the uneducated pick up on that.
The communist inspired Democrats hate President Bush as they could not defeat him in two presidential elections.
The Democratic Party has no agenda, and the terrorists would still be attacking the USA if a democrat were president.

actually Kerry did get more votes than bush. But depending on the size of the state, there are electorial "points"
so if more than half of the people voted for bush in texas, he gets all of the electorial votes, lets say 20. and if in the small state of New Jersey all the people voted for Kerry, it would only be like 2 votes.
Its a systematically corrupt system.. and sometimes the winner doesnt always win :(

The American people do like Bush. Don't believe the lies of the media and lefty politicians.
His ratings are down, but they are still higher
than Kerry's or Gore's.

The oil company purchased every satelite in orbit and armed them with microwave brainwash technology. While people were voting, they controled people to vote for bush.
This happened 2 times.
Without the remote physical manipulation lasers mounted in satelite, and relayed from the hubble brainwash orbital station, bush got only 3 votes in america. The rest voted for Kerry Hero.

In the USA, the people don't actually vote for the President. They vote for other people to vote for the President through the electoral college.
The U.S. is actually one of the least democratic Republics in the world.
